MATH114 — ~Elem Probability & Statistics

This course introduces the fundamental concepts of probability and statistics. Topics include descriptive statistics, random sampling methods, frequency distributions, measures of central tendency and variability, set theory, probability, permutations and combinations, random variables, probability and sampling distributions, expectation, central limit theorem, confidence intervals and hypothesis testing for means and proportions (one and two sample) and simple linear regression and correlation. Applications from a variety of disciplines are incorporated throughout the course. Appropriate application software will be utilized. Prerequisite(s): MATH 100A - Algebra Essentials or proper placement on test scores
