PHYS104 — ~General Physical Science II
This is the second semester of a two-semester sequence that develops skills necessary to understand physical science. This integrated course encompasses lecture and lab. This course explores critical astronomy, geology, meteorology, rocks and minerals, weathering and erosion, surface and groundwater, geologic time, plate tectonics, earthquakes, volcanoes, mountains, light and telescopes, the solar system, stars, nebulae, galaxies, the origin of the universe, basics of meteorology, and the effects of weather and climate. Some science courses may require specialized software tools like lockdown browsers and proctoring applications. This course is only in the spring semester.
