PLBT101 — Phlebotomy
This course prepares students with the fundamentals of phlebotomy. Both theory and hands-on experience are provided. Course content includes the history of phlebotomy, basic anatomy and physiology, infection control, specimen collection, various venipuncture techniques, dermal punctures, venipuncture complications, point-of-care testing, legal issues, and special non-blood specimen collection techniques. Prerequisite(s): MAST 102 - Medical Terminology
