PTA112 — Pharmacology for PTA
This course provides a study of pharmacology in Rehabilitation. Topics include characteristics of drug classes and drug names. Indications, contraindications, precautions, and side effects will be included for each drug class. Pharmacological management of common pathologies seen in physical therapy will be covered in detail. Specific drug interactions regarding physical therapy interventions (exercise or modalities) will be covered, making safe physical therapy practice a priority. Medications for phonophoresis and iontophoresis will be introduced.
