RADT130 — Radiation Physics
This course introduces the production of the x-ray beam. Controlling factors of the x-ray beam will be defined. This course will focus on the components and circuitry of the equipment as well as safe operating standards. Students will be further educated on the different types of ionizing radiation and how radiation interacts with tissues at the atomic level. Advanced concepts of radioactive interaction with matter and radiation safety will be introduced in preparation for Radiation Biology. A.S. program Prerequisite/Corequisite(s): MATH 105 - ^Algebra
Prerequisites: RADT101
