VET110L — Veterinary Surgery Anes. Nurse Lab I
This course will acquaint the student with anesthesiology. Common anesthetic drugs and their pharmacology will be discussed. The student will become familiar with the anesthetic machine cycle, anesthetic pharmaceuticals and combinations, monitoring of the anesthetic patient during anesthesia and the post-operative recovery period. The student will be introduced to identification of surgical instruments, sutures and equipment.
