VET205 — VET Ethics - Professionalism
This course explores and introduces the students to ethics, professionalism and other important topics. Veterinary ethics will include a dive into humane care and management, end of life issues and the human/animal bond. Other topics will include: economics, finance, hospital and medical record management, building client relationships, roles within the veterinary industry, front desk skills, governing bodies, professionalism within the workplace, and mental health and self-awareness. Value of professional organization membership, continuing education and specializations will be introduced. Career tools such as resume, cover letter and prepping for an interview and the VTNE will be taught. Prerequisite(s): VET 103 - Animal Diseases & Nursing I
