CIS 165 — Intro to Operating Systems

This course is an introduction to the concepts and organization of operating systems and the management of hardware and software resources of a computer. Emphasis is placed on memory, process, device and file management as well as operating system utilities. The students will be provided with basic working knowledge of computer operating system commands, functions, and management approaches in a variety of operating system environments utilizing both Graphical User Interface (GUI) and command line environments.
