ECE 301 — Early Childhood Practicum I

3 credits · 3 hours

This is a fieldwork course focusing on the observation and assessment of young children. It requires supervised participation in an assigned early childhood setting (preschool through second grade) and attendance at a seminar. Students learn how to relate child development theories and authentic assessment methods to the fieldwork experiences. Students spend a minimum of sixty hours in the field.
