NURS225 — Mental Health Practicum
, 45 of clinical experience. Clinical opportunities are provided for the application of clinical skills focusing on therapeutic communication and nurse-client relationships, evidence based nursing interventions, critical thinking, and utilization of the nursing process. Emphasis is placed on the development of therapeutic nurse- client relationships with a collaborative approach to the management of a diverse population of adults with mental illness. Enrollment in the 200 Level of Nursing (NURS) courses is limited to those student who have been selected and admitted to the program. Program courses are sequenced by semester and must be taken as a group each semester per program requirements and policies.
