HSRS - 274 Field Experience I 2 HSRS - 274 Field Experience I 2 This course is designed for students in their third semester of Behavioral Health Sciences to gain experience and knowledge in the Behavioral Health Science field utilizing sixty hours of on-site experience and 1 credit hour of in-class instruction. In-class instruction will include an introduction to professionalism topics such resume and cover letter writing, creating an elevator speech, professionalism, networking, and applying for future employment. The field experience hours can be earned at a behavioral health facility, school, clinic, or other organization of the students choosing once approved by the Program Coordinator. Site hours also include goal setting and evaluation of learning goals agreed upon by the student, the Program Coordinator, and the Site Supervisor at the beginning of the Field Experience. Ongoing supervision will be given by a qualified on-site supervisor and the program coordinator. Students are required to submit to a drug screening and background check prior to placement. 00
