WLDT - 120 Oxy Fuel Welding (OFW) 2 WLDT - 120 Oxy Fuel Welding (OFW) 2 This course introduces the fundamentals of oxy-fuel welding. Students will learn how to properly set up a torch and apply correct start-up and shut-down procedures. Instruction emphasizes developing basic welding skills and understanding key principles of the welding process. The course covers cutting ferrous and non-ferrous materials using manual, motor-driven, and oxy-fuel cutting equipment. Plasma-arc cutting (PAC) and carbon-arc cutting (CAC-A) methods are also included. Topics such as safety practices, puddling and puddle control, brazing, soldering, and the fundamentals of cutting equipment and processes are explored. Students will demonstrate competence by producing acceptable oxy-fuel, PAC, and CAC-A cuts. The course aligns with American National Standards.
