ART 31 — Graphics I
Practical studio course in relief printing, monoprint and mixes media basic printmaking techniques with emphasis on proper use of equipment such as cutting tools, brayers and printing inks. Introduction to the platen and cylinder presses as well as hand proofing. Museum and gallery visits and library resources familiarize students with printmaking development. Computer techniques and portfolio presentation and mounting and matting methods are explained.
