The American Nation is a one-semester survey of American history covering significant political, social and cultural currents ofthe last 400 years. This classwill introduce students to the major developments of the American past, with a focus on how they influenced Americans’ lives and how they were influenced byAmericans’ actions. Students will analyze how these developments helped shape American society and the United States’ role in the global community.
