HITC123 — Health Information and the Law
This course focuses on the legal and ethical aspects of health information technology in the United States. The roles of various health care providers and governmental agencies are covered as well as health care legislation. There is an emphasis on the function of the medical record department in relation to risk management. (Prerequisite or Corequisite: HITC-121)
