In this course the student will study the principles of coding and classification systems with an emphasis on the current coding classification system. Emphasis will be placed on the use of and application of coding and classification systems in the health care environment.(Prerequisites: HESC-105, BIOL-111, BIOL-112 and HITC-121;Prerequisite(s) or corequisite(s): HESC-165)
