HITC226 — Clinical Practicum
This supervised practicum introduces students to a health information setting. The student will have the opportunity to apply information and skills learned in the classroom to procedures performed in a health information management department. Students are assigned to various types of health care facilities to gain experience with a variety of health information practices. Three months prior to registration for HITC-226 students will need to complete a criminal background check. (Prerequisites: HITC-121, HITC-122, HITC-123, HESC-165, HITC-221, HITC-222 and HITC-223; Prerequisite(s) or Corequisite(s): HITC-224, HITC-225, and HITC-227)
