ICOM112 — Media and Society
This module offers students opportunities to interrogate the complexity of interaction between media and society. Introducing students to "media-worlds", the module encourages them to critically examine the connection between the media and social experience. The module allows students to bring their own personal experiences to discussions and equips them with the critical and analystical tools with which to position and understand these perspectives. A key theme throughout this module is an examination of the politicas of media and its intersections with the material realities of everyday social life.
