IDGM104 — Graphic Environments
This module introduces and challenges the concepts and conventions of graphical design and its role as a creative and expressive form of communication. By considering graphical concerns such as colour, space, texture, text, form, and time students on level 1 (DMD) will experiment and explore the various ways in which digital and traditional graphic responses can be used to inform audiences, provide visual impact and create meaning. This practical module will serve as a foundation in teh key concepts of graphic design within the digital arena and provid students with a basic knowledge of the conventions principles and practices relative to the pathway.
