An introduction to the process and institutions of European economic and political integration, followed by an examination of major issues such as the European monetary system, trade, security policies,education, and the prospects of Eastern European countries for EU membership. The long range prospects for a United States of Europe and the effects on world economic and political relationships. Includes EU experts as guest speakers and an optional trip to Brussels.
