IHIS264 — Kingship and Nationhood
The module includes the following topics: the origins of the Scots, Feudal Scotland, the Medieval Church, the Wars of Independence, the economy, the highlands, the early Stewart kings and the Renaissance. The module aims to provide students with a knowledge and understanding of coninuity and change in Scottish history in the period c.1100-1513, as well as of the variety of approaches to the past and the interconnections between them.
