IMUS270 — Sound Engineering
Introduction to the operation and function of various pieces of audio equipment. Skills are developed for the production of good, well balanced recordings. The topics of microphone types, pickup patterns and placement on various mudical instruments are examined. Digital editing techniques are examined, as well as audio enhancement. Students will experience group work in the production of a major recording with each student providing and important element of the final master.
