MDLT261 — Clinical Microbiology III

This course covers clinically significant fungi and parasites important to man, with emphasis on their isolation, identification, and laboratory testing. Students will use case studies to apply principles of Microbiology to various organ systems, with a focus on infections of the bloodstream, lower and upper respiratory tract, gastrointestinal tract infections, genital tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin, soft tissue, and wounds. (Prerequisites: MDLT-251; Corequisites: MDLT-262, MDLT-263, MDLT-264, MDLT-265)
