MUPF17A — Rock Band
Students will participate in a Contemporary Music Ensemble (Rock Band) concentrating on performing commercial contemporary works. The student will learn techniques, intricacies and dynamics of rehearsing and performing in an amplified group setting. The students will learn to read charts, learn songs verbally and by ear, use amplifiers, PA equipment, microphones, choreography, lighting, staging, marketing, promotion, and other techniques involved in producing a successful modern rock concert. The semester will culminate with a full rock concert in the Performing Arts Center. (Corequisite(s): MUSI-101 or instructor approval)
