Social Sciences Program, Sociology Option, A.A.
This option prepares students for transfer in order to complete a Bachelor's degree in sociology. This program provides a framework for the scientific study of individual social interaction, social inequality, and major social institutions. The curriculum will introduce students to the various subdisciplines in sociology and related fields. Upon completion of the sociology option, students will be able to identify a potential career path and/or specialization within the field of social science. Finally, students who complete the program will be introduced to the study of social inequality, social structures, and social problems.
