ART 104 - History of Asian Art ART 104 - History of Asian Art History of Asian Art is appropriate for all students who are interested in the cultural traditions and artistic expressions of Asian countries. This course presents a general survey of the development of Asian Art and Architectural forms in the Far East including India, Japan and China with supplementary study of Korea, Tibet, Indonesia, Burma and Thailand. Cultural traditions, especially Buddhism introduced. Prior experience in art history is not necessary. The format involves slide lecture, readings and class discussion.
