BIT 112 - First Year Seminar BIT 112 - First Year Seminar This First Year Seminar course introduces students in the Business Information Technology program to college expectations, academic success strategies, and key departmental policies. Students will learn how to interpret program requirements, use advising tools, and plan their coursework effectively. The course also covers essential academic skills such as time management, study practices, and -seeking strategies using a variety of campus and external resources. Students will begin building their professional identity by creating a résumé, developing a social networking profile, and designing a website for an online portfolio. This portfolio will highlight their skills, education, and experience, ing them prepare for internships, employment, or transfer opportunities. Hours 2
