The course includes light microscopy techniques, quality control, and identification of cellular anatomy, tissues, and histochemical stains. Identify and describe the fundamentals and clinical significance of routine and special histological staining procedures used to evaluate tissue specimens. Correlate clinical case studies and patient disease to histological evaluation of stained tissues. Recognize and describe normal and abnormal stained tissues and cells.
