POS 204 - American State and Local Government POS 204 - American State and Local Government Examination of how state and local governments function nationwide and how they are similar/dissimilar in their approach to governing. State and local government structures and policies will be studied and compared from state to state. A close examination of those structures and policies and their disparate effect on citizens. Students will apply learned concepts to contemporary issues and events. This course is strongly recommended for students who want to develop a deeper understanding of their role and responsibilities as citizens. Hours 3
