COM-241 — Introduction to Journalism

There is more readily available information about current events than ever before. But what to trust? This course will students delineate between misinformation and journalism and provide them with a foundation of understanding the elements of news in the social media age. Engaging with news on a local, national, and global level, students will learn copy editing, audience engagement, and how data can be used to tell and mold a compelling narrative.
