This course examines the nature, purpose and development of criminal law from common law to contemporary statutory law. The course will emphasize the principles of criminal liability and elements of crime. Legal analysis, knowledge of concepts and the ability to identify them in complex fact patterns, and the application of legal principles to fact situations in a logical way will be introduced. Gen.
