ESL-096 — Lecture Comprehension & Academic Vocabulary

In this advanced course, students develop an academic note-taking system as they listen to lectures and authentic sources. Students practice using their notes to answer comprehension questions, write summaries of sources, and compose responses to critical thinking questions. Students learn advanced academic vocabulary and grammar in the context of advanced level readings, websites, and lectures. Students must earn a C or better in order to pass the course. Ed.
