MIG-207 — Ultrasound Physics and Instrumentation for the Cardiac Sonographer

This course is a continuation of Ultrasound Physics and Instrumentation and is designed for the cardiac sonography student to integrate their knowledge of ultrasound physics and instrumentation with clinical practice of actually producing a high-quality diagnostic image. Image quality will be stressed throughout this course through the use of hands-on applications in the ultrasound lab. Additional topics discussed will include: spectral display, image artifacts, bioeffects and safety, as well as discussions relating to 3D ultrasound and contrast agents. Ed.
