MUS-234 — Music History II
This course continues the survey of the history of music, covering the Romantic period (around 1800) through the present. While focusing on Western art music, this course aims to connect the music covered in class to the music of other cultures, eras, and styles. Students will examine the development of music through the emergence of the modern world, as well as the culture, politics, technology, and human drama that shaped it. This course is designed for music majors, but is open to any students with experience reading music. Successfully complete ENG-111 . Gen. Ed. Course No Mass Transfer Course Yes
