FS231 — Paramedic 3; Medical and Trauma Emergencies

This course will prepare the student to provide entry-level paramedic care to patients experiencing medical and trauma emergencies, exercise emergency scene management techniques, and employ crisis intervention concepts based upon the Kansas Board of EMS Education Standards and the NHTSA National EMS Education Standards. The student will demonstrate integration of these care and psychomotor skills, techniques, and concepts at component through scenario levels. The student will apply theory and practice to clinical experiences. The student must be at least 17 years of age to be eligible to take the National Registry of EMTs paramedic certification exams.
