MC140 — Film Appreciation
This course will enable the student to gain an appreciation of film as both art and communication forms. The student will be exposed to aesthetic and technical aspects of film associated with film creation, distribution, and finance. The student will be introduced to a representative selection of important influential films in history, highlighting significant periods, genres, filmmakers, and styles. The student will learn film analysis and critique skills.
