MU214 — Theory of Music 4
This course will enable the student to understand the development, structure, and functioning of tertial harmony in music. The student will be able to apply the knowledge he/she acquires about harmony to the writing of more sophisticated chord progressions, basic compositions, arrangements and orchestrations. The student will understand music in ways that will facilitate and enhance capacities in teaching, rehearsing, performing and appreciating music. Must be taken concurrently with MU 257 .
