CHEM 221 - Physical Chemistry CHEM 221 - Physical Chemistry Total Hours: 90 This course covers the fundamentals of physical chemistry and their application, where appropriate, to the preparation and isolation of materials. The main topics are thermodynamics, colligative properties, phase equilibria, electrochemistry and kinetics. Labs introduce students to many associated techniques, including the use of bomb calorimeters and gas chromatographs. Prerequisites All of: C in CHEM 121
