EDUC 112 - Child and Youth Mental Health EDUC 112 - Child and Youth Mental Health Total Hours: 45 Classrooms and educational setting are inclusive communities which require educators to understand child and youth mental health. Students in this course will be introducted to an overview of child and youth mental health and support strategies by: examining current mental health issues, applying strength based and trauma informed support strategies, understanding lived experiences and cultural perspectives and indentifying community resources. A strong emphasis on applying a social justice perspectives and creating culturally safe spaces to support child and youth mental health will be applied in this course.
