HIST 116 - History Through Film HIST 116 - History Through Film Total Hours: 45 Do Hollywood films influence your ideas of history? Students will learn how feature films and/or documentaries depict historical events and the ways in which history is presented and re-imagined in films. Students will also examine topics such as gender, ethnicity, military conflicts, and propaganda in historical fiction, biographies, and studies of historical figures. The course will further explore representations of specific historical periods such as the First and Second World Wars, the Great Depression, and the Cold War. Prerequisites One of: C+ in English 12 C in English 12 Camosun Alternative
