ICW 113 - Decolonizing the Journey ICW 113 - Decolonizing the Journey Total Hours: 45 Restricted to students in Indigenous Community Wellness Students will examine how societal influences and colonization affect their understanding of wellness, as well as their roles in community wellness work. They will learn about the importance of traditional stories and Indigenous languages, and practice integrating familiar words from their Nation’s language or the language of the land where they reside into daily communications. Students will learn to apply a decolonial lens to enhance their sense of cultural identity and professional practice.
