IST 309 - Intercultural Leadership IST 309 - Intercultural Leadership Total Hours: 45 Leaders in intercultural contexts recognize the richness and gifts that diverse cultures, perspectives, and experiences bring to teams and organizations. In this course, students will strengthen their ability to be effective, respectful, inclusive, and engaged leaders. Further developing their understanding of how Indigenous knowledges, values, and social structures affect leadership, students will learn to lead diverse Indigenous and non-Indigenous individuals and groups. Students will learn skills and strategies to build capacity, address intercultural challenges, and foster a culture of continuous learning. Reflecting critically on how their positionality influences their leadership, students will develop the skills to mitigate the impact of conscious and unconscious biases and stereotypes and to lead with intention and humility.
