MIDS 127 - Abdominal Sonography Procedures & Scanning Basics MIDS 127 - Abdominal Sonography Procedures & Scanning Basics Total Hours: 60 Students are introduced to the basic clinical applications of sonography as a diagnostic investigation tool. Students review anatomic relationships in the abdomen while learning to recognize the normal and abnormal sonographic appearances of the peritoneal and retroperitoneal cavities, abdominal vasculature, liver, biliary system, pancreas, urinary and adrenal systems, spleen and gastrointestinal system. Students focus on learning the basic components of ultrasound procedures and abdominal protocols.
