NURS 280 - Nursing for Acute & Complex Illness NURS 280 - Nursing for Acute & Complex Illness Total Hours: 168 Restricted to students in Nursing In this practice experience, learners will translate and develop knowledge, skills, and dispositions to provide safe, ethical nursing care for individuals experiencing acute and complex health challenges. Learners build on assessment skills, develop decision-making skills, and apply care planning, prioritization, and evaluation skills in collaboration with patients, family, and other health care professionals. Learners provide evidence-informed, holistic nursing care, including safe medication administration, health education, and therapeutic communication. Learners integrate nursing knowledge, pathophysiology, and pharmacology. The community and society are considered as contextual influences on the promotion of health for the individual and the family.
