NURS 342 - Advanced Nursing Skills NURS 342 - Advanced Nursing Skills Total Hours: 45 Restricted to students in Nursing Learners build on their existing and emerging nursing knowledge using evidence-informed practice guidelines, standardized procedures, and trauma-informed practices when conducting advanced psychomotor nursing skills. Through experiential learning, evidence and best practice guidelines, simulation, and demonstration, learners integrate knowledge, skills, and abilities for independent nursing practice. Learners demonstrate personal accountability, applying vigilant assessment, monitoring, and documentation in preventing errors and minimizing the risk of harm to patients. Learners anticipate the dynamic changes that frequently occur within a patient’s situation. Learners engage with peers and instructors to seek and provide feedback for improvement in the context of advanced psychomotor skills.
