SOC 211 - Introduction to Africa SOC 211 - Introduction to Africa Total Hours: 45 The course covers the ecosystem, social structure, and human factor of pre-colonial, colonial and post-colonial Africa. Within this framework and using theories and methods of sociology and African Studies, the issues of slavery, colonialism, globalization, health, culture, community, conflict,development, trade, education, inequality, and the African Diaspora are critically examined.
