Students will learn techniques and methods to informed decision-making through an introduction to the mathematical foundations of statistical inference. After gaining a foundational understanding of descriptive statistics and probability theory, students will apply this framework to understand and make inferences from data using estimation, hypothesis testing, linear regression and categorical data analysis.
