ART135 — Art of the West World (prehistoric-1300)
Add to Personal Bookmarks Number of Art of the Western World (Prehistoric-1300) introduces students to the arts of painting, sculpture, and architecture from Prehistoric to the Renaissance. The course will focus on the meaning of the artwork, on exploring and unfolding the works iconography and ideas, on its projection/reflection of human values, and on the relationship of this historic expression to our own milieu. Emphasis is thus centered on students’ understanding and development of their dialogue with Western cultural heritage and its non-western influences.
