ART136 — Art of the West World (1300-Present)

Add to Personal Bookmarks Number of Art of the Western World (1300-Present) introduces students to the arts of painting, sculpture, and architecture; from the Renaissance to the 20th Century. The course will focus on the meaning of the artwork, on exploring and unfolding the work’s beliefs and ideas, on its projection/reflection of human values, and on the relationship of this historic expression to our own milieu. Emphasis is thus centered on students’ understanding and development of their dialogue with Western and Eastern cultural heritage. Advanced Placement Exam (Art History with a score of 3) accepted.
