The course will cover basic chemical and scientific concepts and applications. Topics covered in the course include matter and energy, atoms, ions and compounds, stoichiometry involving reactions, electronic structure of atom, states of matter including solutions, acids and bases, a brief introduction to nuclear and organic chemistry and biochemistry. This course satisfies the Advanced Placement exam (Chemistry with a score of 3) accepted. (Fall, Spring, Summer) Three hours lecture each week. Three hours laboratory each week. Four Credits.
